Tips on Using These Mushroom Growing Bags

These bags are sterile but they can be contaminated during handling. Wear nitrile gloves and a face mask when handling the bags. Also, disinfect the work area where you need to prepare the grow bags.
If you are using a pressure cooker (PC) to sterilize your substrate, ensure that the bags don't have direct contact to the surface of the pressure cooker. Direct contact with a heated surface, under pressure can cause the bags to deform or burst.
It is advisable to not pre-seal the mushroom grow bags during the sterilization process. This will only increase the chances of the bag bursting especially if you are using a pressure cooker.
